PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Under minimal supervision, the Electronic Discovery Project Manager is responsible for managing e-Discovery projects across the Legal Department; establishing and overseeing cross-functional project plans which support litigation-related functions (including compliance with subpoenas and other requests for information) and facilitating electronic document collection, review, and production projects in collaboration with eDiscovery Operations, Security Forensics, law firms, and eDiscovery vendors; providing legal research, case, and project management services to attorneys in the Litigation team; and acting as a point of contact with courts, agencies, clients, outside counsel and adversaries where appropriate. Responsible for managing eDiscovery and Forensics vendor case budgets and managing document review teams.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Work in coordination with eDiscovery Operations, Security, outside counsel, clients, and eDiscovery vendor to manage e-Discovery tasks for Litigation and Labor & Employment teams. Coach and assist more junior paralegals as needed, while adhering to Exelon eDiscovery processes.

Manage litigation-related functions (e.g., tracking of and compliance with subpoenas and other information requests, systems for routing of service of process, and/or others).

Directly assist attorneys by managing legal holds, eDiscovery vendor budgets, document review, and other case management functions; assist in internal investigations; conducting factual or legal research; analyzing documents; and/or drafting legal filings and other documents.

Prepare reporting and metrics related to eDiscovery case and budget status as appropriate.

Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

JOB SCOPE

Assist in providing project management and support for e-Discovery activities for Litigation and Labor and Employment attorneys.

Manage, track, and report on litigation-related processes.

Support attorneys in managing cases and legal matters; interfaces with the courts, agencies and their personnel, outside counsel and their staff, and adversaries.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree and minimum of 6 years of experience.

Thorough knowledge of Electronic Discovery systems and processes and experience with application of these skills in complex matters

Thorough knowledge of relevant court practices, and procedures.

Excellent legal research skills, including knowledge of electronic search technology and relevant databases.

Strong oral and written communication skills and organizational and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to work in a demanding environment and to accept increased responsibilities and meet the demands of the practice in a mature and professional manner, whether working independently or as part of a team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience collaborating with cross-functional e-Discovery teams and using electronic case management tools (ex. Relativity).
