JOB OVERVIEW: (SINGLE SUBJECT ENGLISH CREDENTIAL REQUIRED) The elementary school theater teacher will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a comprehensive theater program for elementary students. The teacher will develop and implement age-appropriate theater curriculum, provide instruction in drama, stagecraft, and production skills, and direct performances. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree in theater or drama education, or related field. • Single subject English Language Arts teaching credential with CLAD • Knowledge of theater production and stagecraft. • Ability to deliver engaging and age appropriate theater curriculum aligned to the California Arts Standards. • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills. • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff. • Ability to assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback. • Willingness to participate in professional development opportunities. *Please see job description for more details.
