Job Description

The Certified Nurse Assistant or Emergency Room Technician performs routine duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for the hospitalized patient. The care is rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Assists nursing team with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of patients. Assists patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and walking. Changes bed linens and assists with patient transportation to tests and procedures. May serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment. May record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse.

Additional Job Description

Education: High School diploma or GED required

Licenses/Certification: Currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina; must be current in the Nurse Aide Registry or have an Emergency Medical Tech Certification or equivalent. Must have current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
