We are seeking an EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN at Aspirus MedEvac in Weston, WI to join our team! The primary function of this EMT position is to operate our BLS Truck, transporting patients discharged from the hospital to their destination. In addition to working with our Inter-facility teams to complete critical care transports when needed.

Our Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) works under the direction and supervision of the Manager - MedEvac and/or their designee and is responsible for providing safe and efficient transport for patients of all ages. This EMT position will provide BLS type transport to Central and Northern Wisconsin and is a vital link to getting our patients back to their primary care centers.

Hours: Full-time or 0.9 FTE, 72 hours every 2 weeks. Day/PM, 12-hour shifts per week. 9a-9p.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of emergent patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Completion of a National Registry or state approved educational program for EMT.
• Two years of pre-hospital EMS experience recommended.
• Active Wisconsin EMT license.
• Active Michigan EMT license. (May obtain within 120 days of hire)
• Possess a valid driver's license in the state of residency.
• Current EMT National Registry licensure preferred.
• Certified Emergency Vehicle Operations (CEVO) or Emergency Vehicle Operating Certification (EVOC) or training.
• Current BLS certification or obtained prior to completion of orientation.

Aspirus MedEvac medical transportation service provides 24-hour emergency air and ground medical transport for critically ill and injured individuals of North Central Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. We are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care and safety to our patients. Aspirus MedEvac also operates critical care ground transfer ambulances from Wisconsin ground bases in Weston, Stevens Point, Wisconsin Rapids, Medford, Crandon and Upper Michigan bases in Watersmeet, Ontonagon and Crystal Falls. In addition to the Critical care Ground Transports, Aspirus MedEvac also provides 911 coverage for Iron County MI and Watersmeet MI. The ground units are staffed with Critical Care Paramedics, Registered Nurses and EMTs. MedEvac air is staffed with a pilot, a Flight Nurse and a Flight Paramedic and is capable of transporting one patient.
