  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a full-time EMT-B position. Bonus amount prorated for part-time hires. Per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth member employees are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
  • Position Summary
    • The Emergency Medical Technician provides basic life support during emergency pre-hospital and interfacility transfer care to patients when indicated by the patient's injury or illness in accordance with State and local protocols.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • License/Certifications: Maine EMT- Basic license. Valid Maine driver's license. RQI BLS Certification within first 30 days of employment. AVOC/EVOC, ICS100, ICS200 & ICS700 required within 6 months of employment
    • Experience: N/A
    • Must be 18 years of age
    • Annual Skills Assessment, specific to department policies
    • Annual Fit Testing
