Key Job Responsibilities

As key member of the Employee Benefits' sales desk, this role will focus on meeting the pre/post-sale needs of our Advisors and clients which will have a direct impact on persistency, and growth of the block of business through add-coverage.

This position will also aim to drive optimization of the Distribution team's Salesforce experience, helping to translate sales team related business requests into detailed business requirements and manage the overall quality of the contact database

Provide Sales Support
  • Mange RFP and proposal process, including reviewing RFP data, discerning the data received and partnering with Sales Desk Lead and Underwriting to underwrite and release a proposal
  • Partner with Underwriting to ensure proposals are on track to meet due dates
  • Proactively communicating with advisors and clients, helping guide and educate them on all tools and resources available to them for future needs by understanding our product portfolio
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage sales pipeline and service requests, ensure all relevant customer and advisor activities are clearly documented.
  • Partner with the Implementation team to ensure that all new groups have successfully been activated and that advisor and client expectations have been achieved.
  • Develops and maintains excellent working relationships with internal business partners, advisors, and clients
  • Takes complete ownership for service-related requests (outside of CS score of responsibilities) and follows up through completion and confirmation back to customers to meet their expectations along with internal SLA's. Service requests include but not limited to product/policy questions, administrative changes, billing concerns, claims inquiries, enrollment completion, customer education, general account management support

Drive Salesforce Adoption & Effective Usage
  • Complete data intake across initiatives involving contact database growth, territory management, sales projections, marketing campaigns, and research engagements
  • Manage contact database quality, including the identification and resolution of data integrity issues, partnering closely with Technology and IT teams
  • Partner with Salesforce Admin in conducting Salesforce training for Distribution and Marketing users
  • Create Salesforce processes documentation and training materials for Distribution and Marketing users
  • Conduct research and analysis, working with stakeholders to assist in developing recommendations and building business cases for the evolving CRM sales strategy
  • Act in a project management capacity for key strategic initiatives, coordinating with cross-functional teams on project initiation, planning and design, execution, and tracking
  • Proactively support end users in driving best utilization of Salesforce


The base salary range for this position is $46,000 - $67,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • 1 to 2 years of similar work experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Results oriented and goal driven with superior service delivery and collaboration skills
  • Develops a high level of credibility with internal and external partners
  • Initiative-taker; able to work successfully both independently and interdependently within a team environment and within a mobile environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear manner, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree Highly Preferred
  • CRM experience preferred but not required
