Join our team as an Employee Health & Safety Manager at Parexel, where you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our Global Employee Health and Safety (EHS) program. We are looking for a dedicated professional who will ensure Parexel's compliance with health and safety regulations while providing valuable guidance to employees and managers in maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:
  • Foster a positive and results-oriented work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork.
  • Communicate with the team in an open, balanced, and objective manner.

Development & Implementation:
  • Develop and implement effective policies, procedures, and related training.
  • Drive the EHS program, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement of health and safety throughout the organization.

Risk Assessment & Management:
  • Identify workplace hazards and risks through assessments.
  • Create training programs and tools to aid in the implementation and compliance with the EHS program.
  • Establish communication and escalation processes both internally and externally.
  • Provide support to the Business Continuity Director.

Incident Investigation & Control:
  • Conduct investigations of incidents to identify causes and recommend improvements to existing controls.
  • Determine necessary resources to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
  • Monitor the performance of the EHS program and prepare reports for senior management.

Employee Health & Safety Expertise:
  • Provide leadership and consultancy for EHS activities worldwide.
  • Act as an internal and external consultant for EHS matters.
  • Oversee the EHS program and guide the business in implementing and executing their EHS responsibilities.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
  • Extensive EHS work experience in a global environment.
  • Previous experience in the Clinical Research field (pharmaceutical industry or CRO) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic and best practices in EHS.
  • Ability to develop relationships with a culturally diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in delivering training to geographically dispersed audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.
  • Flexibility with work assignments and eagerness to learn.
  • Cultural awareness and ability to work globally.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in written and oral English along with a degree-level education.
  • EHS-related qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH is required.
