Our client, in Columbus, OH is seeking an Accounting Analyst!

Job Title: Energy Accounting Analyst

Location: Remote

Pay Range: 33/hr.

What's the Job?

The Transmission Settlements Specialist will leverage technical expertise to ensure the accuracy, validation, and processing of metered data. The role involves resolving metering issues, collaborating with customers, developing process improvements, and representing the company in RTO working groups. Additionally, the specialist will perform data analysis, oversee settlement processes, and maintain load measurement tools.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support the daily checkout process.
• Work with customers to ensure their needs are met on an ongoing basis.
• Detect data errors using internal tools; prepare reports and visualizations as required.
• Validate and finalize meter data after month-end.
• Communicate system issues that could affect data quality or deadlines.
• Use MV-90 xi and other software daily to retrieve and analyze meter data.
• Perform data validation and fill gaps with estimates as needed.
• Work with technicians to resolve field issues and set up/adjust accounts.
• Ensure data quality and meet daily/monthly deadlines; provide reconciliation data.
• Assist in setting up new meters and perform statistical analysis using SAS and other tools.
• Oversee daily data submissions to RTOs and support settlement staff.
• Validate internal, third-party, and RTO data to ensure accurate market settlements.
• Maintain expert understanding of RTO markets and rules; prepare monthly reports

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Business with 6 years of experience in Transmission or RTO Settlements, or statistical/data analysis.
• OR Associate's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience in Transmission or RTO Settlements, or statistical/data analysis.
• Experience with MV90 Xi, Business Objects, RTO markets, and SAS preferred.
