Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I, the incumbent serves as a data management system interface analyst for Cal/OSHA Enforcement Data Management System Interface Unit. The incumbent performs the most complex analytical and technological studies/ assignments related to the implementation of the Cal/OSHA Enforcement Program data management systems. The incumbent works with the enforcement branch and DIR-IT staff, providing guidance and recommendations to management on the impacts of new systems and designs solutions to support Cal/OSHA Enforcement Program mission, while advising management on OIS and DMS system problems. The incumbent also corresponds with both DIR-IT and Federal OSHA - IT staff and Cal/OSHA subject matter experts to set criteria required to implement the electronic exchange of data between the OIS and DMS. The incumbent creates and maintains current databases essential to the completion of work processes within the Cal/OSHA Enforcement program.

The incumbent works in an air conditioned, low-rise office building with natural and artificial lighting. In addition, the incumbent works in a cubicle close proximity to others. The incumbent must work extensively on a computer to draft documents, conduct research, and prepare email communication, among others.
