Engineering Intern

Kratos Defense and Rocket Support Services seeks an Engineering Intern in Huntsville, Alabama, to support our team. This role involves assisting senior engineers and technicians in various technical tasks, providing valuable learning opportunities and growth potential.

Essential Job Functions:

Primary:

The selected individual will assist senior engineers or technicians in tasks including:

• Computer software and network tasks
• General engineering tasks

Secondary:

Other duties as assigned based on the employee's skill level and familiarity.

Work Environment:

The employee will primarily work in an office setting, typical of an office/workstation environment. They should be comfortable working at a desk, either sitting or standing, and operating a computer using standard input devices.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• Familiarity with scientific computer packages (e.g., MathCad, Matlab, Tecplot)
• Proficiency in CAD
• Knowledge of software networking and engineering tools
• Familiarity with MS365
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to obtain an active secret clearance

Preferred:

• Some technical background, such as beginning engineering or technical courses
• Exposure to fundamental fluids and thermodynamics
• Local candidates preferred

Education:

• High school graduate with some college coursework
• Currently pursuing an Engineering degree in any field
