We're offering an excellent opportunity for an Engineering Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will research electromechanical component data sheets for REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) compliance, emissions, and hazardous substances. Our ideal candidate will document their findings in Elma's PLM database and create reports for specific top-level assemblies.

Responsibilities:

• Learn the requirements for REACH, Emissions and other Hazardous substance compliance.
• Research components for REACH, Emissions and Hazardous substance compliance: Going through datasheets. Calling vendors or manufacturers.
• Research processes for REACH, Emissions and Hazardous substance compliance: Discuss with plating vendors, painting vendors, conformal coating vendors.
• Identify trends and generalizations.
• Document all findings in PLM. Attached supporting documents.
• Reporting: Prepare progress reports and communicate results to team members and management.
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
• A plus for knowledge or experience in PLM, ERP (including SCM) and MES, such as Agile, Dynamic 365 and PowerBI.

Education/Certifications:

• Working towards a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, required
