Summary
Arcadis DPS Group is growing our design team in Chandler, AZ and looking for an experienced PM-Design Lead, preferably with advanced technology project experience. In this role, you will be an integral part of the engineering design group, working alongside our engineering managers, architects, and project managers in performing technical design, design management, and specification. Experience in advanced technology/semiconductor manufacturing facilities in highly desirable.
Will not consider remote candidates. This is an in-person role that must be able to work at the client's job site daily. Must have direct related experience in semiconductor facilities, Design Project Management, and/or manufacturing MEP design background.
  • Collaborate closely with our lead engineers, design team, and senior project managers to manage project scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate meetings, manage document control with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, including RFI responses.
  • Craft, implement, and manage detailed scope and project plans that encompass technical specifications, engineering standards, and quality control measures. Establish control procedures, and flexibly adapt to ensure project goals are met.
  • Develop and manage technical frameworks to track project progress, deliverables, mitigate technical risks, and proactively address engineering challenges.
  • Champion process improvements and engineer technical solutions to project-related issues while achieving objectives.
  • Handle increasingly complex work assignments, adhering to defined scope, schedule, and cost guidelines with moderate supervision.
  • Review and approve client billings and assist with account collections when necessary.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure project deliverables meet technical specifications and quality standards, proactively addressing technical obstacles.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Design Lead, Engineering Project Manager, or a similar role is highly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in collaborative, cross-office environments, including interactions with international locations.
  • An Associate degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., civil, electrical, mechanical, industrial, process, or structural). A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles within the AEC industry, demonstrating proficiency in communicating technical concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Certification as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and basic drafting software, with a strong technical aptitude for utilizing engineering software tools.
  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location, education, experience, and relevant certifications.

  • Proficiency of relevant CADD software programs to produce engineering drawings; Revit/AutoCAD/BIM, along with Microsoft Office suite. Skills assessment may be requested.
  • Team player who can work with a variety of software, projects, and other individuals.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and relevant procedures.
  • Ability to multitask on multiple projects and work independently. Takes ownership of assignments, can work both independently and as part of the team.
  • Strongly motivated, well organized, and shows professional initiative.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Local candidates preferred. Will entertain relocation or remote option for candidates with directly related experience. Must be able to work in the PST time zone schedule.
  • Ability to provide valid work authorization for US employment required.
