The Role
We are seeking a driven and motivated Engineering Technician to join our Electronic Devices Design team. This individual will work very closely with multiple engineering teams and is expected to drive validation tasks and work independently with minimal supervision. The work will include hands-on engagement involving thermal, mechanical, electrical, and control systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, a self-starter, and able to learn new concepts quickly.


Responsibilities
  • Assemble and disassemble electronics modules with precision and attention to detail
  • Efficiently handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet critical deadlines
  • Construct and install testing fixtures to ensure accurate and reliable test setups
  • Uphold a clean and organized laboratory space, actively managing inventory to optimize efficiency
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement test setups, ensuring alignment with test requirements
  • Autonomously conduct tests, collecting and recording data for analysis
  • Perform post-processing of data obtained during testing, applying analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights
  • Fabricate and install thermocouples for comprehensive data collection, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of results
  • Conduct triage on assembled components, identifying and reporting any issues to the relevant stakeholders
  • Document test procedure, setups, and results clearly and concisely


Requirements
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing assembly of electronics as an engineering technician
  • Proficiency in installation and operation of variety of sensors and gauges with a comprehensive understanding of their functionalities
  • Fluent and proficient with common hand tools, power tools, and hardware for various assembly tasks
  • Expertise in teardowns and the repair of electronic components, with a strong emphasis on constructing electronics assemblies
  • Good documentation skills to ensure easy data access and organization
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, facilitating effective communication and reporting
  • Experience with Python programming and automation techniques preferred, enhancing efficiency in technical processes
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems preferred, further contributing to the candidate's proficiency in the role.
  • Familiarity with 3D printing, rapid prototyping methodologies, and CAD software preferred, reflecting a holistic understanding of modern manufacturing practices

      $24.40 - $65.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
