This individual wears multiple hats to support engineering integration and manufacturing operations, including quality, rate, and change control. They excel in a cross-functional environment where they investigate vehicle test failures, conduct data-driven root cause analyses, and collaborate with their team to implement continuous improvements. They also play a crucial role in supporting firmware trials, overseeing changes to vehicle self-tests, new factory firmware releases, and overall change control related to the vehicle's software. Additionally, they provide valuable assistance to other teams and team members in vehicle diagnostics, debugging, and component replacement support. This individual effectively manages their workload with a positive attitude, possesses strong multitasking skills, and is a team player in a collaborative work environment.


Responsibilities
  • Investigate and implement countermeasures to improve line processes and first pass yield of testing
  • Support escalations, diagnose and resolve firmware and testing issues (throughout the value stream including end-of-line repair)
  • Documenting basic troubleshooting steps and training how to fix first level issues at module firmware download stations; this may include updating the stations with the latest firmware releases
  • Work with firmware engineers to initiate trials & document any firmware release and self-test configurations
  • Must be flexible to support both day, swing and alternative work schedules (weekends and holiday may be required)
  • Manage troubleshooting and repairs exactly to instructed processes
  • Manage small projects involving multiple departments and/or outside contractors
  • Manage workload with a positive attitude and proactively help co-workers


Requirements
  • Ability to manage workload while contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Ability to communicate clear information and pass downs or directions to the team, internal or external
  • Detail oriented with strong record-keeping, multitasking and organizational skills
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment or equivalent experience
  • Associate Degree in Electronics, technical certificate from a trade school, or equivalent experience highly preferred
  • Experienced with a variety of hand, electrical, and portable tools
  • Skilled at troubleshooting and diagnosing low/high voltage automotive electrical systems and interpreting schematics highly preferred
  • Experience with CAN diagnostic tools such as PCAN Explorer and Vector CANape preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bash, and Linux file systems
  • Experience with software developmental tools such as Python, Git, Splunk and other virtual tools preferred
