Why does the job exist?
Under minimal supervision, performs moderate to complex tasks related to the analysis and auditing of construction projects.
How does it get done?
Performs a variety of routine accounting and auditing functions. Follows state and federal laws, rules, regulations, agency policies and procedures, and generally accepted accounting and auditing standards. Assists others in preparing and reviewing documents and reports for accuracy and compliance with laws, regulations, and standards; analyze, appraise, and make recommendations concerning operational/ financial audits of department/agency construction programs assist with project preparations and calculating expenditures using a variety of computer programs. Audits and processes estimate payments. Mentors and trains staff on audit procedures and requirements.

Construction project personnel and the traveling public to ensure roads are safe for travel.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
-Auditing, and,
-Microsoft Word and Excel.
Minimum Qualification
High School Diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of relevant experience. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Employment requires successful completion of post offer pre-employment physical exam and is conditional pending results. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Business reference check and Driver's License verification are also required and employment is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work primarily in the office with occasional field work in varying weather conditions. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
