ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN - STURTEVANT, WI

BRP is seeking an engineering technician to help test and develop the next generation of boats and engines. Job responsibilities include boat rigging and on-water product testing and development, root-cause analysis, fabrication and assembly of prototypes, and data acquisition and analysis.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
  • Extensive on-water boat testing.
  • Boat rigging, including engines, controls, gauges, props and all related systems.
  • Conduct product development, analyze data, document and communicate results and recommendations.
  • Responsible for solving problems, conducting root-cause analysis, and communicating the findings.
  • Develop and fabricate components and test fixtures.
  • Prepare for, and participate in, various on-site and off-site meetings for marketing, management, dealers, OEM’s, and customers. Maintain and repair vehicles during said events.
  • Participate in the maintenance of a functional, safe and productive working environment.
  • Order parts and accessories, load and unload trucks, clean vehicles

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Required:
  • Associates degree or Marine Trade School degree with 2+ years of experience OR 5+ years of dealership experience.
  • Possess strong mechanical aptitude with applicable experience.
  • Proficiency in internal combustion engine theory and construction.
  • Welding, fabrication & machine shop skills.
  • Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Initiative: Demonstrated track record of initiating and successfully implementing projects or ideas.
  • Interpersonal skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals and departments.

Preferred:
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Data acquisition experience.
  • Extensive problem-solving abilities, including planning and organizational skills.
