FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Must perform the duties of a Television Operations Technician which includes experience in both a Television Station's Master Control Operation and Technical Operations Center. Individual must be able to handle multiple technical responsibilities and changes in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. Candidate must be proficient in operating production switchers, audio boards, robotic cameras, graphics and video playouts. Duties also include Studio care and upkeep. Direct experience with SONY ELC and Grass Valley ITX strongly preferred. Individual will also be required to code newscast content for air.

Two (2) year technical or RTF degree preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. Two (2) or more years' experience as an Engineering Operations Technician, Master Control Technician and Technical Operations Center operator a plus. Individual must possess the ability to effectively multi-task. Must possess strong communication skills, be a team player and maintain a professional demeanor. Working knowledge of current Operating systems, iNews and various broadcast software applications strongly preferred. The candidate must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays, as necessary and perform other duties as assigned.
