Skills

The Enrichment Specialist classified positions are hired within the Afterschool Program. Hours may variety from 1 to 6 hour per week. Applicants are selected by the site coordinator on their site's needs. Positions provide instruction in a specialized area and require either a Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of experience instructing students in the designed specialized area OR six (6) years of experience instructing students in the designated specialized area. Examples of Enrichment activities: cheerleading, ceramics, nutrition/cooking or computer classes, P.E., which could include organized sports such as softball, basketball, or soccer. Other examples under the Fitness for Life program may include biking, dance, or swimming. NATURE AND SCOPE: Working under the supervision of the certificated site coordinator provides instruction, works independently by managing classroom and students. Required to have a broad range of specialized skills and knowledge in order to provide instruction and maintain a classroom supportive of learning.
