The mission of the North Dakota Center for Distance Education is to provide virtual education to support North Dakota's K-12 schools. Salary Range: $19.23 - 21.63 per hour

Summary of Work

Under the direction of the Business Manager, this position will assist with all student enrollment processes and functions, perform clerical responsibilities, and serve as the point of contact for patron questions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or two years of college with at least two of the preferred qualifications
  • Willing and able to support CDE's mission and vision
  • High proficiency in error-free data entry
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams
  • Professional demeanor, with strong customer service skills
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills and ability to troubleshoot independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to build relationships and work well with a team
  • Ability to multitask and respond to a high volume of customer requests calmly, quickly, and accurately
  • At least one year of experience working in an office support capacity
  • A high level of integrity with prior experience assisting customers with payments or posting customer transactions
  • Demonstrated ability to use standard office equipment (photocopier, postage meter, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with records management functions
  • Professional experience using a registration and student information system
  • Professional experience using a customer relationship management and/or billing system
  • Basic understanding of student educational record privacy laws
  • One year of work experience performing data entry functions
