The United States Space Force (USSF) at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Naval Base, Dahlgren, VA is searching for an Entarch Network Service Specialist, SSC/BCCD (NH-2210-03, GS 12/13 equivalent).

Seeking a skilled Network Service Specialist to manage data systems, focusing on connection operations for Command and Control (C2) systems and space domain awareness sensors. Responsibilities include configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication and data transmission. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize network performance, implement security measures, and address technical issues promptly. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in network protocols, experience with C2 systems and space domain awareness technologies, and a commitment to ensuring reliable connectivity for critical operations in a dynamic environment.

Key Skills and Abilities:

1. Will have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management

2. Possess DoD Approved 8570 Baseline certifications for IAM Level II

3. Expert knowledge of current and new IT systems architectures, integration and interoperability, design operations and configuration, facilities, practices and methodology

4. Knowledge of program management and POM processes to identify and defend requirements and integrate activities

5. Knowledge of lifecycle process for systems and trends in present and emerging areas of information technology systems and processes and ability to develop innovative solutions internally by leveraging USSF and DoD capabilities and through productive partnerships with industry and academia

6. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources

Conditions of Employment

  • Must be a U.S Citizen.
  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI clearance.
  • May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
  • This position is not eligible for telework.
  • PCS / Relocation funding is available.
  • Position will be closed after 5 business days or after 75 applications are received.
  • This is a cybersecurity position; the employee will attain appropriate DoD approved cybersecurity baseline
    certificate(s) applicable for cybersecurity functions required for the DoD position held, within six months of filling position.
  • This position is coded Level II, Information Technology. Employee is expected to meet Continuous Learning (CL)
    requirements.
  • The incumbent must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA)
    requirements applicable to the position.
  • This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and
    participation in random drug testing.
