The Information Technology Services (ITS) Department is seeking an Enterprise Backup and Recovery Administrator to join the Enterprise Infrastructure Services Disaster Recovery (DR) team. The Disaster Recovery team is responsible for analyzing recovery requirements associated with City of Phoenix mission essential IT functions and ensuring continuity of operations in the event of a disaster. The focus is on providing comprehensive plans to recover IT systems and operations with minimal operating risk.

Responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and manage citywide backup & replication solutions to ensure the protection and recovery of critical data.
• Administer and maintain enterprise backup infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network components.
• Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance to ensure efficient data protection.
• Create and update technical documentation related to citywide backup solutions, configurations, and procedures.Implement security best practices for backup environments to safeguard sensitive data.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to data protection and backup strategies.
• Collaborate with vendors and subject matter experts to resolve problems in a timely manner during and after business hours.
• Other responsibilities as requested by leadership.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Technical depth on backup and recovery processes and requirements.
• Ability to work after hours on technical support calls and service requests.
• In-depth knowledge of Veeam Backup & Restore Data Platform and associated technologies.
• Technical knowledge of daily backup & recovery operations.
• Strong understanding of storage, virtualization, and networking concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management best practices.

SALARY

Pay Range: $76,627.20 to $118,872.00/annually.

Hiring Range: $76,627.20 to $107,806.40 /annually.

• Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Three years of responsible experience in technical systems software (i.e., data base management telecommunications and operating systems).
• Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

• This position is subject to Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) background standards. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant industry certifications (e.g., Veeam Certified Engineer).
• Three years of experience with Veeam Backup and Recovery or similar backup toolsets.
• Three years of experience as a Veeam Backup Administrator or in a similar role.
• Two years of experience with disaster recovery planning and testing.
