The Electrical Co-op will play an active role in the development of plans, specifications and estimates for intelligent transportation systems, highway lighting, traffic signal design, and electrical systems supporting transportation assets (movable bridges, pump stations, toll gates, reversible lanes, etc.), construction inspection, field data collection, and report writing. First term start dates include May 2024 (Summer) or August 2024 (Fall). Anticipation that a co-op is a partnership with the student's university and that multiple work terms would be scheduled prior to the student's graduation.

The first work term will be based in Chicago. Subsequent work terms may be in Chicago or Milwaukee. You will have the chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects and utilize your electrical design expertise learned at school and working on related projects. You'll work with a group of Engineers, technical experts, and Project Managers in the business. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living.

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering program.
  • Past/Current/Anticipated course work related to electrical engineering, electrical systems, or low voltage communication systems.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software preferred.

Ideally, you'll also have:
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Strong time management and attention to detail
