Entry Level Laborer - 2nd Shift (Braintree, MA)

Wollaston Alloys/CPP Boston is seeking a Laborer to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced company that has continued to grow over the past 60 years!

Responsibilities

• Responsible for transferring/dumping molds to shakeout equipment and activate.
• Knock off adhering sand foreign material using hammer, bars, pneumatic hammer or vibrating screen equipment.
• Break off sprues, gates and risers from castings, breakout cores or arbors as necessary.
• Places castings onto pallets or steel tubs with the assistance of a forklift and a hoist
• Remove, sort and store gaggers, tools core wires, bottom boards flasks, etc. Place flasks in proper area. Return bottom boards to molders.
• Inspect pit periodically to insure that there is no sand build up.
• Assist in stacking, removing castings to cleaning department.
• Make certain heat identification tags are with/and stay with proper casting.
• Refers questionable matters to Supervisor.
• Procures materials/supplies through department supervisor.
• Reports need of maintenance for equipment to supervisor.
• Maintains tools and equipment. Maintains work area in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
• Observe all company rules and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as required or as directed.

Skills and Experience

• Previous manufacturing experience a plus.
• Previous Bobcat/skid steer experience a plus
• High School Diploma or GED required.
