The Environmental Cleaner I, will perform and optimize production cleanliness processes within the Production cleanroom environment. This role will perform and document routine inspection/cleaning tasks and maintenance activities utilizing Good Documentation Practices (GDP). The Environmental Cleaner I will also comply with the wearing of PPE, while maintaining production environment to required standards and complying with all safety policies and related procedures. In addition, this role will report incidents to supervisor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of cleaning supplies/tools.

This role is responsible for utilizing cleaning procedures to perform all tasks to the standards set by the Quality Department
  • Tasks include but not limited to:
o Clean and Disinfect flat surfaces, floors, walls, equipment, tables, chairs, etc.

o Mop, vacuum

o Prepare cleaning agents used and ensure proper disposal

o Wipe down walls, doors, shelving racks, product containers

o Identify potential safety or maintenance issues
  • Other Duties as assigned (ex. Training)

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required
  • 1-2 years experience in custodial, janitorial, or cleaning services preferred
  • Must show 5+ years experience of excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented - pays attention to details with extra attention to any special requests or changes, required
  • Team Player - Ability to work within a team where members depend on each other to get work done, required
  • Self-starter - able to identify work that needs to be done and do it without being instructed to do so, required
