Description

The EH&S Safety Specialist assists in managing the safety and emergency preparedness programs in accordance to local, State and Federal regulations. Under guidance of EH&S Manager, oversees safety and environmental compliance concerns within the Environment of Care and Emergency Management programs. Responsible for understanding the threats and vulnerabilities within our community and entity that may negatively impact operations or pose a risk to staff, patients, or the community. The incumbent will also be available on-call to respond to any unforeseen emergency at the entity. Position requires the ability to travel to multiple sites. Estimated salary range for this position is $55952.22 - $72737.89 / year depending on experience.

Qualifications:
The EH&S Safety Specialist assists in managing the safety and emergency preparedness programs in accordance to local, State and Federal regulations. Practical problem- solving and thorough knowledge of emergency management and environmental health & safety. Effective communication, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize. Good understanding of, OSHA, and EPA regulations preferably as related to healthcare setting. Driving required only for entities with multiple locations.
