Client is hiring mid-to-senior level CEQA/NEPA Planners to oversee and manage complex regulatory projects and high-volume, low complexity environmental permitting programs.
Responsibilities
Project management
Scope, schedule and budget management
Lead technical document preparation
Manage client relationships
Ensure quality of work products
Manage permit application development oversight and review
Manage project tracking and reporting
Lead consultation, permit strategy development and technical review of biological reports, permit applications and impact assessments prepared to satisfy NEPA and CEQA requirements

Required Skills & Experience
7-15 years of experience managing and leading environmental reviews, permitting, and environmental planning for complex electric and gas utility projects, power generation siting and development projects or linear facility projects
Experience with oil and gas, mining, chemical facility, and power plant permitting and siting
Ability to structure, design and lead environmental constraints reviews, discretionary permitting activities and lead technical report and CEQA/NEQA document preparation.
Adept at managing client expectations and scope, schedule and budget of complex, multi-disciplinary projects
Experience with the following permitting activities: Wetlands assessment and analysis and CA Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) 1602 Streambed regulations, Clean Water Act 401 certifications, Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) Nationwide permits and/or 404 Individual permits, and ESA Section 7 and 10 consultations.
California specific project experience
Bachelors Degree in biology, envrionmental planning, naturla resources or related field
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with electric transmission, electric underground and/or gas transmission projects
Masters Degree
PMP Certification
Special status species handling permits
Certified Wetland Delineator
Qualified Stormwater Developmer (QSD) and Qualified Stormwater Professional (QSP)
