What you'll do:
- Review, evaluate, and comment on a range of documents related to potential human exposure at hazardous waste sites
- Conduct site-specific human health risk assessments
- Draft health assessments, health consultations, and other heath- and risk-related documents
- Represent the department at technical and public meetings/public availability sessions
- Other duties that may involve close collaboration with federal, state, and local agencies and other stakeholders
- Participate and engage in stakeholder workgroups with respect to regulatory and health risk related issues
All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic research methods and analysis, computer information systems, and statistical software.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Physical Science, Public Health, or a closely related field. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- This position requires statewide travel, including some overnight, and work outside of normal hours may be expected. Infrequent weekend or out-of-state travel may be required
- Ability to maintain and operate databases and an ability to perform basic queries and analysis of data.
