The Lead is responsible for the direction and coordination of personnel during a shift however, does not confer supervisory status to hire, fire or discipline. Variable shifts. Essential Functions
Provide direction to and coordination of personnel during assigned shift. Responsible for the effective orientation and training of new and current team members. May assist with scheduling. Plan and coordinate project work and/or special events. Clean assigned areas in accordance with departmental guidelines. Retrieve and dispose of refuse, medical waste, soiled linen and sharps containers per regulatory requirements and SRH policies and procedures. Operate and maintain assigned equipment per departmental policy and procedure. Order and stock departmental supplies per established par levels. Utilize materials, supplies and equipment in a cost effective manner. Stock assigned areas with required supplies per established par levels. Effectively perform Environmental Services Technician duties as assigned. Report and/or resolve all safety incidents or issues in a timely manner. Respond to all SRH codes as required. Maintain ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook) and department specific software applications to perform work. Communicate effectively and cooperatively in the workplace. Actively contribute to the achievement of Quality Improvement and Lean Process Improvement activities. Complete all mandatory learning requirements in a timely manner. Maintain current licensure and/or certification as required. Attend and actively participate in all department, team and/or committee meetings. Comply with all Skagit Regional Health, department and location specific policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.

Education
High School diploma or GED required.

Experience/Training
Minimum five (5) years previous housekeeping/environmental services experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirement.

License/Certifications
Valid Washington State Drivers license preferred.

Other Skills
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Must be able to effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications to perform work. Well developed problem solving and analytical skills required. Must be able to effectively prioritize workload amongst frequent interruptions with competing priorities. Must be able to tolerate or develop a tolerance for conditions associated with environmental services. Must be able to list 25 pounds frequently and 40 pounds occasionally. Must be able to constantly bend and stoop and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to constantly tolerate repetitive movement. Must be able to read departmental references, chemical bottles and MSDS requirements. Must possess the ability to provide leadership and training to others. Ability to coordinate work schedule with requirements of position (may include overtime and weekend work).

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds.
