Summary
  • ($3,000.00 Sign on Bonus paid in 3 installments, prorated for Part Time)
  • Current MaineHealth employees not eligible for the sign on bonus. Must be separated from MaineHealth system for 6 months to be eligible.
  • Position Summary
    • Under the direction of the Environmental Services Supervisor and/or ES Director, the ES Laundry Technician performs the laundering tasks of residents' linens to ensure the washing, drying and delivering of residents' clothing items. The Laundry Technician must be able to perform, on a regular basis, a variety of tasks that range from receiving, sorting, assembling, monitoring and inspecting clothing items and dispensing of detergents and other relative supplies.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High school or equivalent preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: Related experience in an organized setting is preferred.
    • Ability to follow oral and written directions from the ES management team.
    • Should have demonstrated basic employment skills and attitudes.
    • Must have excellent customer service skills, able to work and interact in a team environment.
    • Must be able to follow written directions applicable to cleaning agent label instructions.
    • Must be able to work independently and make competent decisions.
