The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest E nvironmental Supervisor with the Division of Air Pollution Control (DAPC) .

As e nvironmental s upervisor, you'll oversee field staff and work with the s ection m anager and other regional s upervisor s to evaluate, monitor , and coordinate response s to environmental health emergencies and complaints , as well as other safety and health aspects of the DAPC .

Y ou'll supervise the development, coordination , and implementation of project notifications, permissions, inspections, and training course s as applicable within both the Asbestos and Open Burning programs.

As subject expert, y ou'll d raft policies associated with the Asbestos and Open Burning p rograms and p rovide t echnical assistance and consultation to district office s, local air agency staff , and industry personnel . You'll also prepare and deliver speeches and presentations to specialized audiences.

Qualifications
5 yrs. trg. or 5 yrs. exp. in position involving engineering or chemistry, physics, biology &/or other comparable science field &/or mathematics; evaluating & approving complex engineering design plans, conducting most sensitive environmental surveillance activities &/or environmental pollution compliance monitoring inspections, investigating complex public health &/or environmental pollution problems, initiating complex enforcement actions, or assisting in planning, developing & maintaining specific environmental projects & programs; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. as lead worker. Note: Training &/or experience must correspond to environmental area to be assigned. Positions in Environmental Protection Agency's solid waste program, excluding those in solid waste planning unit, also require valid Ohio certificate of registration as sanitarian or valid Ohio certificate as sanitarian-in-training.
