This position will be responsible for the tracking and reporting of workplan activities and deliverables that are outlined in the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Grant. This position will manage projects and work closely with local and state partners. This position will utilize multiple programs, such as Excel, to maintain and track performance and/or data in support of activities required by federal grants and Department of Health. This position will also help develop and submit grant applications within the federal systems, as well as assist with other job items as needed, such as conferences or meeting needs. And all other duties as assigned.

Incumbent will provide Support for New Mexico Department of Health- Bureau of Health Emergency Management Grants Coordinator and as well as other staff and personnel to ensure accurate and efficient tracking of grant deliverables.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Public Health or Education and two (2) years of experience in a health related field. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage with standing for extended periods of time may be required. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Office noise, bending, standing and lifting. Some travel with occasional overnight stay may be required. There may be potential for mandatory overtime.
