Under the general direction of the Equipment Materiel Coordinator (EMC), the Equipment Acquisition Manager is responsible for administering one of the most d ifficult statewide programs for the Division of Equipment (DOE). The incumbent plans, organizes, directs, and conducts procurement activities for mobile fleet equipment under the DOE Expanded Purchase Authority Delegation. The incumbent interacts with various State Agencies, Departments, and Divisions : including the Department of General Services (DGS), the Division of Procurement and Contracts (DPAC), and the Division of Accounting (DofA). In the course of performing their daily duties, the incumbent uses various computer software systems including; E-FIS, eProcurement, SCPRS, and Fleet Anywhere.
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Equipment Materiel Manager II exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.
