PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES:
  • Develops and coordinates maintenance program for all heavy equipment and vehicle fleet company wide. Coordinates, estimates, documents, manages, and often implements repairs to equipment fleet. Management to include the scheduling of equipment mechanics and lube techs as well as managing vendors for these tasks. Maintains and organizes equipment maintenance area. Maintains correct levels parts inventories and does parts purchasing.
  • Coordination of materials, equipment, purchasing for proper machine maintenance and tracking to keep jobs on an efficient production pace. Requires constant communication between Production staff and vendors, Sub-contractors, Project Supervisors, etc.
  • Identifies and tracks the condition, maintenance, and repairs for all equipment.
  • Coordinates with Equipment Superintendents and Engineers the timely repair and maintenance of equipment on a job site.
  • Responsible for management of the equipment maintenance facility. This includes the orderly appearance of the yard and an updated inventory of materials stocked in the yard.
  • Works in close coordination with Superintendents and Engineers of Operations to schedule and arrange equipment moves.
  • Monitors actual costs versus budget costs.
  • Manage and coordinate rental equipment. Communicate with vendors and negotiate with them best rates.
  • Provides technical support to the projects.
  • Requisitions certain project materials, equipment, and services on the project
  • Interprets the intent and requirements of the design documentation and information.
  • Performs technical administration of contracts.
  • Controls all equipment that the Company owns or leases: vehicle fleet, equipment inventories, etc. Control and help projects to optimized equipment utilization.
  • Makes yearly improvements and updates to our equipment accounts,
  • Elaborates and updates operating costs and rental rates.
  • Maintains knowledge in federal, state, and local compliance issues.
  • Finds potential issues ahead of time and is able to problem solve.
  • Always enforces site safety.
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Develops and maintains business relationships with workers, manufacturers, dealers, project managers, equipment managers, and subcontractors from Pulice Construction
  • Provides computer guidance on equipment modules.
  • Investigates and evaluates cause and extent of damage to equipment involved in accidents.
  • Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, Mechanical or Electrical Engineer, preferably.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with civil and construction equipment
  • Knowledge of construction equipment manufacturers, equipment lease/rentals companies, national accounts, auctioneers, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and experience with Maintenance and Telematics software
  • Goal oriented - able to set goals and achieve them.
  • Interpersonal - able to work well and persuade people at all organization levels. Be able to work together with our equipment managers in our affiliates and jobsite equipment managers.
  • Organizational ability - able to plan, prioritize, organize, and monitor activities and projects. Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.
