JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSBILITIES

Safely operates heavy equipment in the performance of work associated with construction and maintenance of streets and other construction projects within the Public Works Division; assists with repairs to labor equipment; stocks sand and salt shed; performs snow removal duties; other related duties. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 6:45 am to 2:45 pm, is part of the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 3, with a starting hourly rate not to exceed $28.26.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
• High School diploma or certified equivalent
• Valid CDL-A license
• Ability to set-up and operate various labor equipment used in construction
• Combination of education and experience will be considered.
