Seeking a Financial System Support Analyst to perform complex accounting, technical, and functional work to support the automated financial systems in the Finance Division. Coordinates with other divisions to define business requirements for various internal and external interfaces to the financial systems. Coordinates accounting related activities to ensure that special reports required by the Comptroller, Legislative Budget Board, and other oversight entities are prepared timely and accurately.

Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assists in the end user support for the following systems:

o PeopleSoft Financials

o Eagle Investment Systems

o Bank of New York Mellon (BNYM) NEXEN

o Workiva (financial reporting)

o SharePoint

o Concur (travel planning and reporting)

o Anaplan (budget analysis and planning)

• Defines business requirements, develops test plans, and implements changes in the software listed above

• Monitors, reviews, and assists in correcting errors in the following internal and external interfaces:

o Accounting interfaces between the PeopleSoft Financials, and Pension and Benefit Administration systems

o Accounting interfaces to the Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS)

o Accounting interfaces to other state agencies and institution of higher education

o Other interfaces as required

• Provides technical supports to other sections in the Finance Division in preparing reports in Microsoft Office, Crystal Reporting, Workiva, and Anaplan.

• Provides technical support for reporting required by auditors.

• Provides functional support for cost allocations and uploading budgets.

• Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures for the Financial System Support section.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Your application for employment must reflect how you meet each of the following minimum qualifications:

1) Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, information systems, or business-related field. Each year of related experience can substitute for one year of college credit (30 hours) with a maximum substitution of four years.

2) Two (2) years of full time experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related experience including experience in preparing, entering, and processing accounting entries.

3) Five (5) years of experience using word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel).

Preferred Qualifications: Your application for employment should reflect how you meet the following preferred qualifications:

4) Experience with ERP/ PeopleSoft/Oracle financial system.

5) Experience with Data Management and/or Reporting tools.

6) Accounting experience with a Texas state agency.

7) Experience with USAS.

8) Experience with SQL in an Oracle, SQL Server, Access, or similar database.

9) Completion of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Public Administration (MPA).
