Substitute Media Specialist

An ESS substitute Media Specialist assists in providing appropriate learning experiences and educational opportunities for each student entering the media center.

Responsibilities
  • Execute lesson plans using a broad range of tools and resources to support information and digital.
  • Support and work with teachers on the integration of technology into all areas of the curriculum and instructional.
  • Provide students, teachers, and staff with materials and resources that reflect current information and instructional needs.
  • Actively promote reading through activities such as interactive storytelling, book- talks, book clubs, displays, publications, reading programs, and special events.
  • Performs other duties as necessary for the effective operation of the school.


  • Qualifications
    • Certified - GA Media Specialist Certification
    • Non-Certified - Master’s degree in Library Science or Instructional Technology
    • State/Federal Criminal History Clearance
    • Drug Screen
