Overview

The ideal candidate is meticulous, eager, open minded, and fanatical about building memorable experiences centered around delicious food and beverage. You will be responsible for each event from engaging the initial inquiry, selling RHC services, menu planning, and event execution, whilst working in tandem with our Operations and Production teams to bring the event to life.

This role will pay a salary of $72,000 to $75,000 plus 4% commission

Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify, solicit, and cultivate new clients
  • Design, develop, and sell catered events tailored to client priorities and preferences
  • Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers
  • Achieve individual yearly budgeted sales goals
  • Assist clients with menu selection, wine selection, service planning, and event design
  • Communicate necessary event expectations, information, execution details to appropriate internal departments
  • Create, distribute, and follow up with client proposals, contracts, further planning documents
  • Entertain potential and existing clients and conduct site tours and venue walk-throughs as needed
  • Collect deposits and payments associated with event contracts
  • Attend events, follow up with clients to solicit feedback, maintain relationship to encourage repeat business
  • Various projects / tasks as needed

Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience in catering sales and event management role
  • Knowledge of practices and procedures related to off-premises catering
  • Proven background in strategizing and executing catering sales
  • Strong guest service orientation and skills
  • Proven revenue and budget management skills
  • Detail and results oriented
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to negotiate, influence and sell prospective clients
