Overview:

Responsibilities:

As an event staff intern for FanGate Solutions, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in ticket sales, event management, and guest services at one of the largest fall festivals in Charlotte.

Mecklenburg Oktoberfest, from the producers of the Taste of Charlotte Festival, returns to Truist Field again this fall on October 5th. The day will begin with the Pink Cupcake Walk benefiting Go Jen Go and roll into the day-long Oktoberfest. The event offers a mix of entertainment, local craft beer, shopping, kids' activities, food and more.

Internship Positions:

Coin Booth Sellers-
This position will be responsible for collecting payment and distributing event coins to festival attendees, which can be redeemed for food, beverage, and activities during Mecklenburg Oktoberfest.
Hours:
Main Entry - 8:00am-7:15pm
Picnic Area - 9:30am-7:15pm
Batter's Eye - 9:30am-7:15pm
On Field - 9:30am-7:15pm

Beverage Booths-
This position will be responsible for collecting coins as payment and serving various beverages to festival attendees.
10:00am-7:15pm

Both positions are for one event based in Charlotte, NC. Would you like to experience working at an exciting local major event?

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Willing to commute to Truist Field in Charlotte, NC on Saturday, October 5th
  • Ability to work untraditional hours including weekends and evenings
  • College student majoring in sport management, hospitality and tourism management, or related fields is a plus
  • Eager to start & build a career in sports and live entertainment
  • Ability to deliver exceptional service by anticipating the guests' needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills that complement a team-oriented work ethic
  • Must be neat and presentable at all times
  • Must be 18 years of age or older with at least a high school diploma or GED


Duration and Pay:


Shifts are as follows:
Saturday, October 5th
8:00am - 7:15pm
9:30am - 7:15pm
10:00am - 7:15pm

This is a paid events internship position for work during actual events at $12/hour.
