Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the League's 27th club in January 2019. Austin FC began competing in MLS in April 2021 and played its first match at home on June 19, 2021, in the new, 100% privately financed, state-of-the-art Q2 Stadium. Now in its fourth season, Austin FC currently holds the longest active sellout streak in MLS.

Austin FC is actively seeking a passionate and proactive Event Sales Manager who will be responsible for managing clients from initial contact and lead the booking, planning, and execution of events held at Q2 Stadium and St. David's Performance Center. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing follow-up with clients, post-meeting/event evaluations, and maintaining detailed records of all client interactions.

This position will be based in Austin, TX and the role will be in-person based in Q2 Stadium.

You will:
• Support bookings and other events at Q2 Stadium and St. David's Performance Center; and
• Prospect, cold call, qualify, and develop relationships that actively solicit new business and respond to inquiries with the intention of creating profitable business and achieving annual sales goal; and
• Utilize existing contacts to drive business, while continuously networking to develop new and profitable relationships via internal/external events and site visits; and
• Coordinate and manage all information input into the facility's booking system. This includes revising and updating booking data to ensure accurate information is maintained to provide the greatest utilization of the venues and spaces; and
• Regularly track and analyze all sales and revenue-related data, including but not limited to, lead volume, closing rate, and event financial metrics; and
• Provide Sr. Director of Event Booking with regular updates on outstanding contracts, payments, and other reports as needed; and
• Coordinate site visits, provide tours to prospective clients, and organize proposal details with Sr. Director of Event Booking and Events Manager; and
• Ensure Stadium Operations Department is updated on all new, revised, or cancelled bookings; and
• Collaborate with Marketing Department on the creation of sales collateral and marketing materials to assist in the overall sales process from lead generation to booking to drive strategy and revenue; and
• Serve as liaison between facility and clients regarding space availability for events; and
• Partner with catering team on continued menu development and catering options for clients as well as analyzing monthly catering KPI's; and
• Maintain knowledge of the corporate and social events industry, current trends and competitive landscape; and
• Support internal departments on contractually secured events, activations, and projects as necessary; and
• Serve as Manager on Duty as needed.

You have:
• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years experience in sales in the hospitality industry or relevant experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, oral and written
• High proficiency with Excel, Microsoft applications, and event booking software
• Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• English language proficiency is essential and Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus
• An outstanding work ethic and attention to detail
• Interest in sales/negotiation/contracts/closing process
