Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR, and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and LiveNation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.

We are looking for additional Event Servers to help facilitate events and to provide Front of House support at a variety of COTA events. The ideal candidate has diverse experience in food service, including plated service, buffets, and proven customer service skills.

Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Ensure the setting of suites, clubs, and buffets completely.
  • Must be able to set up for events, carry equipment, serve guests, and clean up at the conclusion of the event.
  • Quickly respond to guests needs.
  • Maintain proper dining experience and fulfilling customer needs.
  • Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
  • Knowledge of event menu items and their contents.
  • Responsible for setting buffet stations which may include décor.
  • Running food to suites and concessions as needed.
  • Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques.
  • Performs other related duties as required.


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles preferred.
  • Live within 25 miles of COTA is preferred.
  • Availability for the Grand Prix F1 Race October 18-20 is strongly preferred

  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client's needs.
  • The ability to work alone and as a team.
  • The ability to learn and adapt quickly.


Work Environment

The work environment for this position will work out of and report to Circuit of the Americas. Events may be indoors, outdoors, or in temporary structures. This position may work with kitchen equipment including food warmers, heat lamps, coolers, and more.

Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of being in one place, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue.
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting up-to 30+ pounds.
