This internship runs from May 2025 to August 2025.
REX Baseball is a collegiate summer wood-bat team in Terre Haute, IN inside the Prospect League. The team was founded in 2010 & has won the Prospect League Championship twice (2015 & 2018). REX Baseball provides an experience for students who want to have a career in the sports industry. We have sent numerous staff to work for the NFL, NBA, MLB, MiLB, PGA, UFC & so much more! REX Baseball prides themselves on getting both our athletes & our team off the field to the next level, we will give you the experience unlike any other to advance your career!

Do you want to get experience inside events operation & sponsorship activations with an elite team inside the Prospect League? You will be involved in day-to-day operations with event planning on all game days with our list of sponsors, other events such as our annual golf outing, kids youth camp & more throughout the 2025 summer. On game day's the Events/Sponsorship Coordinator will lead a small team in a full set-up & breakdown of our corporate tent outings, checking in on our visiting sponsor's for each game, fulfilling all sponsorship activations needed & much more! Working with REX Baseball will allow you to gain valuable sports experience while working in a fast-paced & fun environment. *This internship is only available to recent graduates seeking high-level internship for the 2025 summer or college students (junior or senior) who are looking for UNPAID COLLEGE CREDIT.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Able to receive college credit for your internship or have recently graduated from an accredited institution
  • Must be able to work all 2025 home games, REX Academy (youth camp), REX Golf Outing & other dates as assigned
  • Must be able to work on non game day's to complete necessary tasks for future upcoming games
  • Must be able to work flexible & long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work effectively with little to no supervision
  • Must be able to troubleshoot in response to challenges
  • Must have excellent communication skills and act as a team ambassador with every interaction
  • Must have excellent strong personal & digital organizational skills
  • Please note: This is an high-level unpaid internship, seeking juniors & seniors in an accredited undergraduate institution or a recent graduate seeking a high-level internship opportunity with management experience. This is an on-site opportunity to lead a small team with management experience inside a Prospect League Events/Sponsorship Department. This cannot be a remote opportunity, being on-site to lead a small team benefits hands-on experience to advance your career!


Responsibilities but not limited to:
  • The Events/Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for leading all aspects of the events and operations, and establishing strategic vision for the department on game day
  • Must work hand-in-hand with the Assistant GM in all initiatives related to the events/sponsorship department
  • Assist in pre-game set-up & post-game teardown of our corporate outing events on game day's
  • This position will work events and a varied work schedule including evenings and weekends will be required
  • Establish community relationships and talent pipelines throughout game day & off day's with our participating or new sponsors
  • Establish process to garner and interpret feedback including but not limited to all events, local sponsored events & more.
  • Participate in meetings as the need arises to facilitate duties of position/support other departments
  • Participate in activities to ensure service standards relating to the guest experience are met
  • Coordinate event day operations, working closely with the General Manager, as well as sponsors, ensuring needs are fulfilled and the stadium is event- day ready
  • Have a full and complete understanding of the technology required to perform duties
  • Constantly learn and recommend new ways for technology to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of work
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, move heavy objects, use a computer, use a telephone, speak, hear, and write
  • Contribute to fan interaction and idea's for brainstorming
  • Opportunity to be General Manager of the Day for a game
  • Assist in pre-season set-up & post-season teardown (after playoffs)
  • Assist in pre-game set-up & post-game teardown/clean-up on ALL Home Games
  • Assist with guest relations on game-days regarding to the your specified department
  • Must have the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Other duties as assigned that come up on short notice
