This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position and will require two days per week at Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast, Maine.

Your Role:
Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Executive Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and operational support essential to the mission of the organization and the day-to-day operation of an executive office. This position requires always maintaining confidentiality. Key to the role is the ability to work effectively with all levels of management, staff within nursing services, vendors, nursing programs/academic partners, and patients/families. Incumbents in the role provide administrative support, including the preparation of reports and meeting materials; independent project management and event planning; maintaining files; and directing calls, and emails. The role requires the use of discretion, tact, and independent judgment in making decisions. Additionally, this role requires extensive administrative experience and the ability to multitask.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

1. Education: Associates Degree required; BA/BS preferred.

2. License/Certifications: N/A

3. Experience: 2-3 years' experience required in an administrative support position; 5 years' experience preferred.
  • Experience in a similar role for the healthcare industry preferred.
  • Experience with medical terminology preferred.
4. Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

5. Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

6. Positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with professional demeanor.

7. Unquestionable integrity and an understanding of confidentiality.

8. Dedicated and reliable.

10. Ability to create and maintain efficient file and record management to meet state laws and regulatory requirements.

11. Utilizes effective computer skills in the following programs: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint)

12. Normal use and management of office equipment and procedures

13. Performs other duties as required/requested.
