Amazon Web Services is seeking an experienced administrative professional to support our VP AWS Data Centers based in Seattle. This very visible role requires the ability to complete complex tasks and small projects with little to no guidance, lead staff meetings and other business operations, and collaborate with other senior leader executive assistants to quickly and efficiently calendar critical and sensitive business meetings. Additionally, this lead executive assistant position will define the operating standards and rhythm for the global AWS Data Center Community executive assistant team, and own the scaling and development plans for the group. This position will interact with customers, vendors, regulators, and other constituents on timely, sensitive, and business critical matters.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other

words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage,

networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely

on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're

looking for talented people who want to help.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts,

operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest

standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our

Key job responsibilities

• \tManage complex calendar and scheduling requirements

• \tTrack and help drive completion of key deliverables and following up on outstanding items

• \tDrive key team activities, such as staff meeting agendas, all-hands meetings, and supply ordering

• \tPlan and organize events and activities, including travel arrangements

• \tHire and develop a deep bench of high potential executive assistants in and outside the AWS Data Center organization

• \tPlan, scale, and manage administrative support for a global organization growing in excess of 25% annually

• \tSimplify administrative processes that inefficient and/or that generate unnecessary friction and high levels of frustration

• \tExecute high judgement decisions as a delegate of the VP AWS Data Centers

A day in the life

Working in a highly ambiguous environment, you will demonstrate initiative, complete tasks and projects quickly, and proactively take action without having to know the total picture. You will learn organizational structures and objectives of the teams you support, as well as build a strong internal network. You will apply a superior attention to detail, great organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple critical requests while maintaining flexibility, a sense of humor, and most importantly, grace under pressure. Over time, you will build deep and trusting professional relationships with the leaders and their teams, which will blossom into strong partnerships that provide opportunity for special projects with increased responsibility and long-term career growth.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of senior level leadership support, or 3+ years of Amazon experience

- High school or equivalent diploma

- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of senior level leadership support experience

- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

- Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency

- Experience working with large global teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
