The Executive Assistant in the Dean's office will play a pivotal role in supporting the efficient operation of the Dean's Office.

The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. Job Summary
The Executive Assistant in the Dean's office will play a pivotal role in supporting the efficient operation of the Dean's Office.
General Responsibilities
- Conserves executive's time by reading, researching and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating communications.
- Maintains executive's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences and travel.
- Welcomes guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects administrative operations by keeping information confidential.
- Prepares administrative information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED) plus 7 years of experience in an administrative support role; OR
- Associate's degree plus 4 years of experience in an administrative support role; OR
- Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience in an administrative support role.
- Bachelor's degree.

- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities.

- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
- Strong tact and diplomacy skills.
- Ability to handle a wide range of administrative tasks.
- Ability to interact professionally with IUSON staff, faculty, students, and visitors.

- High degree of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to proofread and edit content before publishing.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrates experience using graphic design software such as Canva or Adobe Suite applications.
- Demonstrates experience using Microsoft Teams applications.
- Familiarity with Indiana University systems, processes, and terminology.
