Amazon is seeking a highly skilled, multitasking and self-motivated individual for the role of Executive Assistant will work closely with two leaders in the AWS Professional Services team based in Herndon, VA.

The successful candidate will be customer-service oriented, and have great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines. To be successful in this role, you will need to be highly responsive and have the ability to switch gears at a moment's notice. The successful candidate will also be pro-active and able to anticipate administrative needs of the leadership team they support. A high level of integrity, professionalism and discretion are required for handling confidential information in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the total picture.

The candidate must also be successful negotiator with other executive assistants and facilities in managing space needs, meeting scheduling and team moves. This role is responsible for arranging conferences and meetings, travel planning and creation of detailed itineraries, general office support functions, expense reports, and scheduling.

AWS Professional Services is part of the AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services team (SMGS). AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include the ability to play a leadership role, to think and plan ahead, delegate responsibilities appropriately, and manage time effectively.

Other key responsibilities include:

- Manage complex calendars and scheduling with diplomacy and discretion.

- Organize, prioritize and appropriately handle time-sensitive, confidential information and ensure action required is addressed in a timely manner.

- Organize, execute, and assist with team activities (staff meeting agendas, on-sites/off-sites, team social events, etc.)

- Schedule cost effective air/hotel/ground transportation. Create detailed travel itineraries both domestic and international (including smooth transitions between time zones). Coordinate with in-house travel agents and manage international travel process. Submit expense reports in a timely fashion.

- Coordinate closely with Recruiting teams, Facilities team, HR team, and other Executive Assistants within the Amazon community.

- Track and help drive completion of key deliverables and follow up on outstanding items to include meeting notes and action items.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of senior level leadership support experience

- Experience with executive level calendar management

- Experience with domestic or international travel coordination

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of senior level leadership support experience

- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

- Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency

- Experience with end-to-end project management

- Experience with work space planning/management
