Amazon's Global Tax organization is seeking a friendly, adaptable, resourceful, collaborative, self-motivated Executive Assistant to support our Reporting and Compliance Tax team.

We are looking for someone who is able to stay calm under pressure, display a strong work ethic, own projects, have sense of humor and have a proven track record of excellent judgement. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment while always keeping an eye toward minute details as well as the big picture. You will also be able to be am effective gatekeeper, while still remaining customer centric.

You need to be someone who wants to build a deep and trusting, long-term partnership with your executive leaders, understanding organizational needs to keep our execs running at top speed and their days smooth. Our EA will have a proven track record of effective planning, time management, and organizational skills. Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines while juggling multiple requests is critical. Strong communication skills, professionalism in dealing with senior executives and their EAs, and confidential handling of information is imperative. We'll be looking to you to help us foster and maintain a positive and fun team environment!

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Managing Calendars, travel and other administrative tasks for leadership

• Processing mail, using judgement for escalation

• Processing tax returns to include certified mailings and tracking mechanisms, obtaining signatures (in-person or docusign) and other team support

• Planning and coordinating team events, all-hands and other meetings

• Coordinating various training initiatives

• Creating and enforcing mechanisms that are scalable and that optimize efficiency around every-day tasks, while continually auditing current administrative mechanisms for relevance

• Coordinating reporting in Salesforce for internal project tracking

• Collaborating with broader EA team on highly visible/high-impact projects intended to expand org communication, EA training, and events, among other value-add opportunities

About the team

The Tax Reporting & Compliance team manages Amazon's worldwide direct tax filings and reporting obligations for all of Amazon's subsidiaries and affiliates.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of senior level leadership support, or 1+ years of Amazon experience

- High school or equivalent diploma

- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

- Experience with executive level calendar management

- Administrative experience supporting executive or senior management-level staff in a fast-paced environment

- Proficiency with docusign and certified mailing processes

- Desire to learn processes and improve upon them

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

- Experience managing multiple calendars

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

- Sets a high bar for self and team; can provide key examples of improving efficiency or daily productivity of direct manager and/or team

- Is very professional; highly poised, confident and organized

- Maintains high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals both inside and outside of the company

- Pivots quickly and is able to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events which require timely response or turnaround

- Able to handle administrative details independently and with an eye for accuracy, while keeping team members informed as necessary

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
