You're Excited About US Because You Will...
  • Achieve budgeted revenues, control expenses, and maximize profitability within assigned areas. Develop and manage budgets, including food costs, labor expenses, and operational expenditures. Monitor product mix and pricing to optimize profitability.
  • Plan and oversee the procurement, production, preparation, and presentation of all food within the hotel, prioritizing safety, sanitation, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and execute innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients, dietary trends, and market trends. Maintain consistency and quality across all dishes and all avenues of the resort.
  • Work closely with event planners, sales teams, and clients to understand their needs and preferences. Create customizable menus that showcase creativity, culinary expertise, and flexibility to accommodate various dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Ensure that the same level of quality and attention to detail applied to restaurant dishes is maintained in banquet offerings. Conduct tastings and quality checks to guarantee consistency in flavor, presentation, and execution.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordinating of food and beverage services and highest satisfaction of guests.


We're Excited About YOU Because...
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts desired.
  • At least four years of progressively increasing responsibility in culinary management as an executive Chef (or comparable position).
  • Experience overseeing high-quality food production and related food and beverage operations.


The expected salary range for this position is $110,000-$130,000. The Meritage Resort & Spa reserves the right to modify or update this range at any time. The actual salary offered will be at the sole discretion of the company and determined by relevant experience, qualifications, and skillset of the final candidate. This role is eligible for health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401k, educational reimbursement, and paid time off, including vacation and sick leave.
