The Executive Chef must be a passionate and caring leader who will be responsible for all kitchen operations including menu planning, provisioning, food preparation, and sanitation. They will live our values and develop the team as we look to reach even higher levels of success. This position directs the training of 50+ culinary and support colleagues engaged in preparing foods to ensure an efficient and profitable food service. The position demands creativity on a daily basis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards. The Executive Chef works well under pressure; is organized, flexible, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure proper training of all food prep colleagues

• Ability to instill safety and sanitation habits in all colleagues

• Teach employees the importance of consistency in preparation and presentation

• Thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques

• Ensure that level of quality, portion control, and plate presentation is adhered to consistently

• Short- and long-term planning for the department areas of focus, including financial success, and customer and colleague satisfaction

• Hire, empower, and develop colleagues

• Review performance and support career objectives of colleagues

• Oversee payroll, scheduling, productivity, reporting, forecasts, inventory, and budget

• Implement procedures to increase guest and colleague satisfaction

• Ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt standards
