The role you'll contribute:

The Leadership Institute Executive Director provides operational oversight to the Leadership Institute, supporting AdventHealth leadership development needs. The Executive Director reports directly to the Chief Learning Officer, with routine collaboration and communication for effective management of the Leadership Institute. The critical nature of the Leadership Institute requires broad business and leadership knowledge, deep expertise in leadership theory and practice, adult learning methodology, as well as experience in mission-focused organizations. The Executive Director manages Institute operations, multiple vendor partnerships, program logistics, executive engagements and mentorship networks. In partnership with curriculum facilitators, the Leadership Institute Executive Director ensures adult learning systems are employed to deliver optimal educational and experiential learning. The Leadership Institute Executive Director demonstrates strong project management experience to oversee the operational execution of multiple/ongoing offerings

  • Manages Leadership Institute operations for all services offered
  • Leads Leadership Institute team including full time employees, contracted services and all coaching/consulting engagements.
  • Directs overall educational programming, aligned with the vision and mission of AdventHealth
  • Represents the Leadership Institute to key stakeholders and in designated meetings
  • Collaborates with strategic internal and external partners to support co-sponsored educational programs and thought leadership initiatives
  • Identifies emerging leadership development trends and incorporates in program design as appropriate
  • Partners with key stakeholders in designing, developing, and executing effective leadership development programs
  • Oversees the establishment of appropriate learning metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and impact
  • Partners closely with the Chief Learning Office for meeting the leadership needs of the learning communities and in the management of the overall Leadership Institute
  • Ensures delivery of optimal educational and experiential learning opportunities in a timely manner
  • Communicates effectively with the Chief Learning Officer for planning and execution of initiatives
  • Ensures appropriate staffing of each workstream
  • Facilitates workshops as necessary, in collaboration with the workshop team
  • Ensures prioritization of workplans for each Leadership Institutes team
  • Ensures workplan goal accountability and attainment
  • Manages Director level employees
  • Effectively conducts routine meetings
  • Ensures assessment and application of best practices in leadership development
  • Anticipates and drives change in order to meet organizational goals
  • Promotes cross-functional collaboration and the sharing of ideas / perspectives
  • Creates an environment that values individual perspectives while driving towards common goals; assists teammates as necessary
  • The Executive Director is responsible for supervising all Director level employees in the Leadership Institute, including regular meetings for updates, collaboration and feedback.


Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
  • Master's degree required, preferably in Education, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field;
  • Minimum of five years of operational and management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities within a corporate environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
