Job Summary

Develops and implements innovative strategies covering critical topics such as post-secondary options, college affordability, mindset development, career exploration, to support new student programming and enrollment growth. Leads collaboration efforts with elementary, middle, and high schools primarily ninth and tenth grades, districts, and community organizations to forge strategic partnerships. Provides oversight of New Student Programs, ensuring seamless integration and alignment of outreach efforts with the university's broader enrollment initiatives. Leads a team of professionals that focuses on promoting access to higher education, a college-going culture, and student success.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops and executes a forward-thinking, data-driven outreach strategy targeting K-10 students, with the overarching goal of increasing awareness, interest, and enrollment in higher education
2. Provides strategic direction and oversight to a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering high-impact educational presentations and workshops on topics such as post-secondary options, college affordability, mindset development, career exploration, and summer melt prevention
3. Cultivates strategic partnerships with schools, districts, and community organizations to expand the reach and effectiveness of our outreach efforts, leveraging collaborative opportunities to maximize impact
4. Collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, including admissions, marketing, and academic departments, to align outreach initiatives with the university's enrollment goals and strategic priorities
5. Leads the enhancement and optimization of our New Student Programs, leveraging insights from data analysis, feedback mechanisms, and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement
6. Fosters a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability within the team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to support individual growth and collective success
7. Manages departmental budgets, resources, and personnel effectively, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and alignment with strategic objectives
8. Represents the university in key community events, conferences, and forums, serving as a visible advocate and thought leader in the field of strategic outreach and enrollment management

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted driver's license

Required Experience
Eight (8) years of experience of relevant experience to include at least six (6) years of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing data-informed outreach strategies targeting K-10 student populations, preferably within a higher education context

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience
Experience in Enrollment Services, Undergraduate Recruitment, or related areas within higher education

Able to stay abreast of emerging trends, developments, and innovations in enrollment management, K-12 education, and student success, integrating relevant insights into strategic decision-making and program development

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of higher education and K-12 education systems to drive enrollment success

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
